Facilitation

What Is Facilitation?
Creating spaces where diverse people can come together in meaningful dialogue
I design and support spaces where people can think together with a sense of safety and openness, and where new understanding can emerge.
Having worked for many years across different countries and cultures,
I have long been interested in how we can nurture spaces where people from diverse backgrounds meet and learn from one another.
Perhaps you have left a meeting or community gathering with a lingering sense of discomfort - feeling that you couldn’t say what you wanted, that the purpose was unclear,
or that the discussion ended abruptly without any real sense of closure.
Often, such experiences arise when meaningful facilitation is missing.
When a skilled facilitator becomes involved, these “unresolved” meetings can transform into meaningful dialogues where shared purpose and deeper understanding take shape.
Facilitation is not simply about managing a discussion or reaching a decision;
it is about creating the conditions for people to speak freely, listen deeply, and learn together.
The Kind of Spaces I Support
I facilitate gatherings of people with different purposes, needs, and backgrounds -
from volunteer groups and community organisations to educational institutions, NGOs and companies.
Any organisation or group that wishes to move forward through dialogue can benefit from facilitation.
Examples include:
-
Meetings where participants come from diverse cultural or professional backgrounds
-
Regular team gatherings, retreats, project evaluations, or sessions to revisit missions and visions
-
Thematic dialogues or brainstorming sessions on specific issues or challenges
I work both in person (in meeting rooms, classrooms, or community spaces) and online (via Zoom and other tools).
Each facilitation process is carefully designed to suit the unique purpose and nature of the group.
How We Begin
To start, please reach out by phone or email.
We will take time to talk about the kind of space or gathering you wish to create,
your current situation, and your hopes for the process.
Together, we will explore whether facilitation can be a meaningful way to support your goals.
Once we have a shared understanding, I will outline how I can best assist you.
After we agree on the scope and approach, we proceed with a formal agreement.
Following that, we move into the consultation phase.
In this stage, we clarify the purpose of the gathering, the participants involved,
and the context of the dialogue,
and design together the facilitation process and tools to be used.
Consultations are typically held for about one hour before and after the facilitated session,
and these are included in the overall session fee.
Fee Guideline
Organisational clients: one 180-minute session – €450 + VAT (21% within the EU)
Individuals and small groups: price determined in consultation.
Spaces for Learning Through Dialogue
Alongside my facilitation work,
I also host spaces for learning that explore the practice of dialogue
and inclusive space-making.
These gatherings bring together people who share an interest in facilitation,
offering a place to exchange experiences and deepen our learning together.
