What is Coaching?

A moment to pause, reflect, and listen to your inner voice

Coaching is a process of dialogue that helps you remember, recognise, and access the abilities and inner resources you already have -
and bring them into your everyday choices and actions.

 

For more than twenty years, I worked with international organisations,
facing humanitarian and social challenges in the field.

 

Like many others, I have experienced moments of solitude, burnout,
and shifts in identity during times of personal transition.

These experiences have led me to accompany people who strive to make the world a better place - 
especially when they find themselves at a turning point.


Coaching offers a space to pause, reflect, and listen to your inner voice,
so that you can reconnect with your strength and move forward again.

My coaching approach

My coaching is grounded in deep empathy and active listening,
and values authenticity - being honest and true to oneself.

 

As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF),
I have completed internationally accredited training

and accumulated over 600 hours of coaching experience.

I coach in both Japanese and English -
languages I have used professionally for more than two decades

in international and multicultural settings.
My clients are based around the world,

and our conversations take place across diverse cultural and linguistic contexts.

In each session, clients are invited to pause and reflect in a safe and supportive space,
to explore their feelings, values, and perspectives,
and to discover their own "next step".


Every session has an intention or goal,
and through dialogue, we work towards it - 

encouraging awareness and meaningful change in action.

Sessions are conducted online (e.g. Zoom) or in person.

Each session lasts 45–60 minutes.

Coaching themes

When facing questions about life or career, or standing at a turning point,
we often find ourselves pausing somewhere between
who we have been and who we are becoming.

Coaching offers space to explore the inner changes and questions that arise in such moments -
to put them into words and to reconnect with ourselves.

The themes we work on vary for each person,
but often include things such as:

  • Regaining a sense of self and restoring inner balance

  • Re-examining one’s career direction or way of working

  • Recovering from burnout or uncertainty and finding one’s centre again

  • Rediscovering intrinsic motivation while engaging in social or humanitarian work

  • Deepening self-understanding through relationships with family or others

Coaching and other services

Coaching offers a space to pause,
to reflect on your values and patterns of thinking,
and to explore how you want to move forward -
turning that awareness into action.

Counselling, on the other hand, often focuses on the past -
looking into events and emotions in order to heal psychological pain or unresolved issues.

However, this does not mean that coaching brings no healing.
Being deeply listened to,
and finding words for your thoughts and feelings in a safe space,
can in itself be profoundly healing and restorative.

 

Coaching bridges the space between healing and action -
a dialogue that helps you move from awareness to the next step.

Who I work with

I work with people engaged in fields such as humanitarian aid, environment, development, and human rights -
those who act for the good of society yet feel the need to pause, reflect, and look inward.

For those feeling burnt out or exhausted in demanding, high-performance roles,
coaching offers a chance to reconnect with one’s passion
and revisit the deeper "why" behind the work.

I also work with people experiencing transitions -
living abroad, changing jobs, or navigating family changes -
who wish to reassess their direction and the next chapter of their lives.

Coaching is open to everyone, regardless of profession or position.
It is a process for anyone who wishes to live more authentically

and make choices that truly fit who they are.

Coaching discovery session (free)

Coaching is a service built on trust.

 

In a discovery session, you can experience a short coaching session (about 30–40 minutes)
to get a feel for how I work and explore whether coaching is the right support for you at this time.
It is a valuable opportunity to pause together and gain clarity before deciding to begin.

All conversations during coaching, including the discovery session,
are strictly confidential and protected by professional ethics.
You can speak freely and with confidence.

Coaching fee

1 session (45–60 minutes) €150 + VAT (21% within the EU)

Fees are adjusted flexibly depending on your work situation and personal circumstances.
Details will be provided after the discovery session.

Team coaching

Team coaching is a process that strengthens the quality of relationships within a team

or organisation and helps members share a common purpose and vision. 

 

I am trained in ORSC (Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching)
and, as a professional facilitator, have supported diverse teams and group processes. 

 

Through team coaching, I help identify relationship patterns
and support team members in recognising differences, building trust,
and moving forward together towards shared goals.

Sessions are conducted online or in person,
and designed according to the team’s purpose and needs.
